Artificial Intelligence in Oil & Gas is one of the highlights of Oil & Gas Automation and Digitalization Congress 2022. The Congress is held on October, 17-18, 2022, in Milan, Italy, and gathers Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, drilling contractors, pipeline operators, refineries, service providers and equipment manufacturers.

Within the session “Artificial Intelligence in Oil & Gas. The heart of the matter” delegates are going to talk about advanced AI to optimize operations, AI-powered cybersecurity, impact and benefits across the whole value chain of upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas.

There are many factors that make it more important than ever to make smarter and more efficient decisions: commodity cycles, capital planning challenges, and increasing operational risks in the oil and gas industry. With AI and machine learning, companies can deliver the returns investors require, improve return on assets, and manage downside risks by turning much of the data already collected into usable and valuable insight. CIOs will need to stay  on top of AI developments and evaluate and roadmap the development of AI capabilities. Within the Congress, Jose Antonio Martin H., Artificial Intelligence Technical Advisor at Repsol, is going to talk about Artificial Intelligence trends in Industrial operations.

With the dynamic landscape for energy production, AI provides powerful benefits across the entire value chain. AI helps oil and gas companies assess the value of specific reservoirs, customize drilling and completion plans according to the geology of the area, and assess risks of each individual well. In addition, downstream operations can be optimized to minimize costs and maximize spreads. In frames of the Congress, Giuseppe Valentino, Head of Digital Technology at Saras, is going to present the topic “Saras Digital journey: AI development in Refining Management”.

Many other topics related to AI are covered at AUTOMA 2022 where leading representatives of the oil and gas industry share their experience.
