Are you ready to play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of the European Union’s external borders? Haptic R&D Consulting is actively seeking partners to form new consortia and apply for the Effective Management of EU External Borders call in 2023/24.

This call addresses crucial objectives outlined in the Security Union Strategy and the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, as well as the Strategy on the Schengen Area. It aims to strengthen European land, air, and sea external borders by developing robust capabilities for border checks, surveillance, and analysis.

Our focus areas include:
- Developing strong capabilities for checks at external borders to safeguard the integrity of the Schengen area.
- Carrying out systematic border checks while facilitating the travel of legitimate travelers and respecting their rights.
- Providing integrated and continuous border surveillance and situational awareness.
- Combating identity and document fraud.
- Supporting future technology for the European Border and Coast Guard.
- Enhancing the interoperability and performance of EU data exchange and analysis.
Through research and innovation, we aim to better prepare for potential future security challenges and crises, such as those witnessed in Ukraine in 2022.
We are closely aligned with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) in defining capability requirements and implementing relevant activities. Additionally, we collaborate with the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) to ensure the success of research and innovation initiatives.
Our research also emphasizes the protection of human rights and the facilitation of refugee protection in border management practices.
Joining forces with Haptic R&D Consulting will contribute to the implementation of the European Border Surveillance System (EUROSUR) and the development of tools for Integrated Border Management. Additionally, our research activities support the objectives outlined in the EU Maritime Security Action Plan and the Joint Communication on a Stronger EU Engagement for a Peaceful, Sustainable and Prosperous Arctic.
We invite proposals that address the following impacts:
- Improved security of EU land, air, and sea borders.
