At IFA 2016, ZEROTECH unveiled the DOBBY, a consumer selfie drone that folds and fits in your pocket. With intelligent features that make aerial photography quick and easy for drone experts and beginners, DOBBY is ZEROTECH’s first ever product to be launched internationally and will be available later this month in the United States and Canada, as well as across Europe.

DOBBY empowers everyone to master aerial photography within five minutes. Featuring motion guided control connected to your cellphone, DOBBY provides a simple, intuitive user interface, enabling consumers to utilize features such as palm take-off and landing, voice-enabled control, one-click rolling and dual satellite positioning with ease. The drone includes a 13 megapixel camera with a field of view of 75 degrees and 1080p FHD video capabilities, producing crystal-clear pictures and videos, even from a distance.

With its patented design, DOBBY is lightweight and can fold up to fit into your pocket. Despite weighing a mere 199g, DOBBY combines the best-in-class technologies characteristic of high-performance drones, including 3-axis electronic image stabilization system, gesture control1 and target tracking, making DOBBY one of the few drones that uses CV technology rather than GPS to enhance precision within a short reaction time. Additionally DOBBY offers 9 minutes of flight time and supports both Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ technology and portable chargers, making it the ideal drone for on the go flying.
DOBBY is based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Flight platform, a highly optimized platform targeted specifically for consumer drones and robotics applications. Snapdragon Flight is based on the Snapdragon 801 processor, with GPS, 4K capture, and robust connectivity, along with advanced drone software and development tools, bringing cutting-edge mobile technologies to create a new class of consumer drones.
Making Consumer Drones Available to Everyone
Launching DOBBY is the first step to ZEROTECH’s bigger plan to expand its consumer drone business globally and plans to introduce more consumer products, such as mini gimbals, to the market in the coming year.
