VR experience through an innovative haptic ring

One of the defining aspects of contemporary tech scene, Virtual Reality shows a steady rise among the geeks and techies today. The incredible interaction with the artificial 3D world as facilitated by VR technology has inspired excitement and enthusiasm yet the existent VR technology could not assure a complete realistic experience with VR given the absence of any “touch” feel. Go Touch VR has pledged to enhance the VR experience a notch further with breakthrough Real Touch Sensation through its futuristic VR Touch wearable device. Powered by a patent-pending technology, the device will enable the users to learn, design, manipulate and interact in VR sphere just akin to REAL LIFE.

“We are committed to add on the TOUCH sense in VR space to improve user immersion”, stated haptic Specialist Eric Vezzoli who founded Go Touch VR with 3 other haptic industry experts Thomas Sednaoui, Vincenzo Giamundo and Zlatko Vidrih. The four of them had been working on a project involving haptic feedback on touch screens for their PhD, the absence of the needed “touch” feel in the existent VR environment prompted them to address the problem with their own innovative solution.

“Our game-changing VR Touch is designed to extend existing 3600 VR/AR systems with advanced high-performance haptic integration. It’s a wearable ring that will successfully create the illusion of touching virtual objects. Our device will ensure REAL CONTACT under your fingers matching up with the virtual contact, exactly as would be felt by you in the virtual reality.” Stated Eric Vezzoli.

Speaking further he added, “Basically, the brain expects a sensation of touch as it approaches an object. This neurophysiological approach is the backbone of our haptic design and it led us to add the anticipated touch sensation with our VR Touch to complete your VR experience. Our haptic ring follows a scalable concept involving 1-10 fingers in function of the need.”

VR Touch offers the ultimate natural interaction with the virtual objects such as grabbing, touching etc. Users will benefit from shorter learning time for the hand interactions as well as greater control over hand interaction and better dexterity while manipulating objects.

“What separates us from the competitors is that they offer full gloves and none of them are able to offer the needed real touch sensation since they only use vibration”, Vezzoli continued.

The innovative haptic ring is completely wireless and is fully compatible with Intel Real Sense, Leap Motion as well as all the VR headsets. VR Touch also supports all major engines like Unreal Engine, Unity & CryEngine.

“VR Touch will assure embedded tracking and embedded gesture recognition so that you can enjoy precise contact while interacting with virtual objects – something that was never possible earlier.”
